Parametric study on internal resonances for a simplified nonlinear blade model

This article proposes to determine and identify the physical contributions that drive internal resonance between bending torsion modes of a blade. The blade is modeled as nonlinear beam including warping, twist pre-bending, discretization scheme based on Rayleigh–Ritz approximation performed. modal properties model are compared validated using theory finite element modeling. Several configurations allowing occurrence an first torsional second considered. frequency responses near mode obtained through Harmonic Balance Method coupled with branch switching algorithm locate track bifurcated branches related resonances. Attention paid identification geometrical terms enable appearance resonance. With help multiple scale analysis, it shown essentially driven by small set coupling parameters involving displacements commensurate modes. It also observed in rotating situation thanks hardening mode.
